becoming responsible

Even if my brother has a problem with his studies, he still wants to become a football player at school. Everyone agrees that he should take this extra activity as it might help him become responsible in everything he does.
For that matter, I am also excited to buy him football shoes. This will help him boost his morale that could increase his chance of being accepted.
Actually, he did try to apply for his school’s basketball team. We showed him the support that every family should demonstrate. But, he did not pass. The good side, it changes his attitude towards us a bit. He feels that he is very important as he really is. And, it eases his rough relation towards his little brother, our youngest.
Now I hope that his new undertaking will bring good things for him other than attitude change. I hope to see that he becomes more motivated to pass high school and continue college studies.
The only problem now is the fact that is he a graduating student. This decreases his chance of being accepted and he knows that for sure. That is why; he doesn’t dig on the matter so much unlike when he applied for the basketball team. Instead, he keeps on repeating that he wants a new video game. Sigh! I don’t know if I will give him this or not as this is one of the things that get into his way of getting good grades.
