A new study cited that anxious mommies are more than just a ball of nerves and mood swings because of the raging hormones. Pregnant women can identify signs of anger or aggression on someone’s face with more accuracy than other women who are not expecting and men. Researchers had previously established that, during certain phases of the menstrual cycle, women were more able to read emotions on someone’s face, which was explained by a peak in the levels of the hormone progesterone. As it turns out, the same applies for pregnant women: they can similarly detect emotions of joy and happiness, but also pick up on negative emotions with more accuracy, especially later in pregnancy.

The study was conducted by researchers at the University of Bristol, UK, and included 76 pregnant women. They were shown 60 computer-generated faces, to which they were asked to assign one of six emotions. The study included two meetings for this purpose: one before the 14th week of pregnancy, and one in the 34th week, with the most impressive results achieved in late pregnancy.

Thus, researchers determined that happiness and surprise was an emotion women picked up on to the same extent regardless of how far along they were. On the other hand, faces expressing anger, fear and disgust were more easily read in late pregnancy, researchers found out, which could prompt the explanation that the development of said “superpowers” acts as a defense mechanism for the mother and child. Too bad, the television brother bought last December can’t get a signal without digital tuner. The sales man did not tell him about it. He just learned it when he gets home, but he can’t return the said item because it’s not defective or anything. It leaves him little choice, either to buy a digital tuner or to get a cable subscription. Well, he chooses the latter to get a number of channels.

A few months later, he is thinking of buying the tuner because the monthly fee burdens him. I can help him in this matter because I know exactly where to buy it. Actually, I only ran across this while surfing the web, but I keep the information. I know time will come I will need this information. I guess this is the time.

Before my vacation ends this Sunday, I still need to see a friend of mine whom I bought baby clothes with personal twist. I should have done this the moment I arrived. But, things got a little busy on my end that hinders me from seeing her. Sightseeing and picnics with the family are few of activities that occupy my time. But, I will make sure and spare sometime to give her a visit.

Speaking of baby clothes, I bought this stuff few a months ago. I wonder if they would still fit the recipient. Of course, I make sure they are all cute and made of high quality with a personal touch in it. IF the baby grew fast, then I doubt they fit. If that happens, then I I’ll buy new ones, which is easy because I’m doing online shopping. However, it would be much better if they fit so my presents will not go to waste.

I still can’t get enough of my experiences here with my biological family. I really miss this feeling for a long time. And, I’m enjoying every second I’m with them from the time I arrived here – the small talk and the big laughs even watching movies together or doing chores together. All those simple joys create a big smile on my face.

The only thing I’m worried about is the pounds I’m gaining. It’s difficult to refuse food when it’s delicately prepared for the entire family. For sure mom will feel bad if I show I’m uninterested to the meal or snacks she made. That’s the reason I’m planning to buy diet pills that work when I go back home. There’s no hope I can continue my diet regimen until I’m here. Until then, I’m sure I will just add some weight and little by little it will be a full-blown fat deposit. Everybody loves to ask when I will tie the knot. Good thing my parents already know my answer to that so they never bother to be part of the inquisitive lists. I’m only referring to my relatives and friends who are excited to see me walk down the aisle. But, I don’t have immediate plans for that. It might take me years before my church wedding happens.

However, when that time come I will make sure it will be perfect from the rehearsal dinner invitations, to bridal showers and so on. It took me a long time before deciding since I want nothing less. But, that doesn’t mean it will cost me a fortune because there are lots of beautiful wedding supplies that are costs effective and with high quality. All I need is to find them, which I’m sure I will.
