Finally, I now have the test result of my medical test. Now, all I have to do is to wait for the attestation of my college documents from my home country. Then, the company that accepted me can proceed in processing my working visa. Even if that is the case, I’m still beginning to worry over my status while waiting. It’s been two weeks and yet the documents haven’t arrived yet. Well, I just need to make some follow-up. I don’t want everything to ruin just because of those documents.
The company has given me a good starting package. Unlike the previous company that offers me a job, this company also offer attractive life insurance coverage. But, I’m unsure which of the life insurance categories the coverage belongs to that is what I’m going to find out in the next few days. Regardless of the category it’s good to have a life insurance, which gives me peace of mind.
Various students shrug their shoulders at the beginning of the semester when telling them that time is their best friend. Just like students, too many writers struggle with their writing because they treat time as a four letter word. However time is not the enemy if you learn to use it wisely. Time can be a tremendous help when you write if you plan ahead. Making a wise use of your time is a three-step process.
First, allow yourself enough time to live with the idea you plan to write about. Do not write. Give yourself permission to jot down notes but it is wisest to simply make these hard copy (or handwritten) notes. You want to give your muse, your subconscious mind, your brain, or whatever part of you that does your heavy lifting when it comes to writing, time to work. During this time just go about your normal life and work on other tasks, writing and otherwise. There is no need to schedule time to simply think about your future writing task. It is going on whether or not you pay attention to it. However every day you can give yourself for this process will save you much time, energy, and agony later on. Trust me. I have been there and I know whereof I speak.
Second, once you have given your brain some time to work out your rough draft (or at least the bones of it) then it is time to start writing. However before you start writing you should work out a schedule for yourself. Set goals and limitations and then stick to them. Perhaps you will write for a set amount of time or you might rather set a certain page count for your goal. Some days it will be a struggle to meet your goal and other days it will be almost painful to stop when you have met your quota, but over time your brain and writing muscles will become accustomed to the goal and the writing will come easier and faster.
Third, and this is where you need to pull out your calendar, you need to plan your schedule so you have plenty of time for that initial period of thought, a workable writing schedule, and time for drafts as well as time for breaks between drafts. Read more… »

A while ago, I got a chance to chat to my sister in Facebook. With the time difference, it’s difficult to catch each other so I’m really glad with the opportunity. We are talking about her employment status. She has undergone several interviews and is scheduled for many more within the month. She said she is lucky to have those interviews, some of her friends decided to take additional courses. One took up cosmetology course with intention of opening a salon, which is a perfect opportunity.
Anyway, speaking of cosmetology I always remember the cosmetology school of Regency Beauty Institute. Regency is the fastest growing beauty school in the country, which already has 80 (and counting) campuses across 19 US states. They bring unique approach to cosmetology education by emulating upscale salons and providing an exceptional education that benefits the students, the salon community, and the public. As part of their training, students provide high-quality, discounted salon services to the public under expert faculty supervision. Currently, Regency graduates are recognized and sought after throughout the United States.

Even though I just arrived here in UAE, I’m already thinking of going back home. Indeed, there’s no place like home where I will be able to be with my friends and family. It’s not like I don’t accept change, it’s just so happen that I’m feeling homesick already. But, I don’t really have plans of staying in a foreign country forever. I’m just here to save some money and go back home and start a business.
Like I used to say, I always want to have a small business that is enough to cover my needs. I don’t really need a huge one because that would be a headache plus I’m not really a material person. Anyway, I’m currently considering the idea of opening a restaurant business. Actually, mom already asked me to fund this business under her name. But, it did not pursue because of her age. Since I’m much younger, it is possible for me to do it.
If ever if I continue this plan I would go for the used restaurant equipment. Purchasing new restaurant equipment is way too expensive for a start-up. Only those with huge capital can afford that. For me used equipment is already perfect so long it’s in good working condition. Well, let’s just see in the future if this will really happen.

Mimi, hubby’s sister, is getting ready to deliver her first child in this world. She is eight months pregnant now and will give birth sometime in October, which makes everyone excited about it. Who will not be? Having a new born is a gift and blessing at the same time. So, I also want to share some happiness and support. But, I’m continents away from our hometown.
Hubby and I are in UAE right now and it might take years before we could go back home. One way to send our congratulations, is to send her baby gift in the form of a stroller. Yep, it’s the first and only choice we have right now.
Currently, I’m looking at the UPPAbaby Cruz at peppyparents.com. This stroller is suitable for infants from three months and older (up to 50 pounds) – and suitable from newborn with optional infant seat adapter or optional Cruz SnugSeat insert – the 2011 UPPAbaby Cruz is designed to simplify the day-to-day activities of busy parents. It features the full-size, reclining seat that reverses, large storage basket, telescoping handlebar, generous sun canopy with extendable SPF 50 sunshade, and many more. This is indeed what she needs after giving birth.

Since it’s a rainy Wednesday, I decided not to accompany hubby to the meeting place of her aunt’s friend. So, here I am staying in the house, sitting in front of my computer and surfing the web. But, I suddenly remember to update my resume, which I was able to finish in no time. Then, I started to search the web for job openings that led me to Tech Careers.
I’m amazed with the number of jobs available which includes Legacy system programmer jobs. I know a friend who will find it very helpful. Before I give her a call I will find one for myself. I’m pretty sure I can find one that suits my qualifications. I can also tell hubby about it or share it in facebook so many of my friends will know it. I’m sure many of them are looking for bigger opportunities or just pretty bored with their current jobs. Indeed, sharing is loving.
